Men at Work
Makeshift foot bridges,
bring us to a land of warehouses
and men at work.
Construction helmets build trust
in a person’s handyman capabilities.
Uniforms are dangerous,
an invitation to con men
to attend our lively celebrations.
our brains know no better
making millions of decisions.
Case in point:
”Where shall I pet this Irish Setter?”
Cue cards are vital to acting
on life’s grand piano stage.
We need time signatures
to verify our individuality.
Sign on the dotted line.
Watch out for God pocketing time.
Make shifting foot bridges
to adapt to the time signatures
Sharing interests is common practice
Let your guard down.
The noose is too tight around his neck.
An incapacitated guard is unhelpful.
Put your trust in norms and uniforms.
Rotting corn, put your ear to the ground.
Find your place in the clouds,
where souls get lost to be found.
