A Cyclical Maze
Ancestral by nature,
the lifecycle of corn
remains a cyclical maze
since the days of maize.
The Days of Rage,
final memories before
extermination/ purification.
Europeans, vane creatures
held no tolerance
for the radical nature,
the punk phase
of maize.
Black, brown, white
red, yellow, purple.
Maize held tolerance.
Maize preached acceptance.
Maize strode forward
ahead of it’s time
Emboldened by diversity
Cosmopolitan in nature.
Why is it,
that explorers solidify their darkest thoughts
when they encounter others in far away lands?
It matters not, any longer
The results of such validation have been
.catastrophic.
