Tap in, Power up
I am not afraid,
To pull from the universe,
To stick my fingers
In the fiery substance
Let it soak in
Through the tips,
Course up and in and
Take from me too.
I am not afraid
Of warmth, or the
Way my skin raises
In response,
The electric
un-numbing,
The letting.
-- I am not afraid --
To become a part,
To let my single string
Be tethered to
The wild unarmed nothingness,
The everythingness
That I cannot fill.
There is a solidity
In the light
And the deep dark
That forms,
A pin prick at a time,
Holes in the veil,
The lace of light,
Fingers dipped
And stitching.
Open up, the cavity,
the space I fill --
I am surprised
At the strength
In my arms,
Held aloft by the same
Light, tethered.
I stand in the black
With my hands up,
My palms open,
And it pours in
And out
Of me,
The tailor of the elements
Will not let me apologize.
