On Sojourn
Penmanship of the pedantic,
Shed ink over semantics.
I’ve sailed the Atlantic,
Am I to be marginalized, treated infantic.
Trivialized in subversive antics,
for the detriment of society,
and people beleaguered and frantic?
I can’t think of a more preposterous notion,
than mainline Nationalism, but sideline the potion,
Dividing whole peoples, left out from the quotient
to fracture our nation into factions, we conqueror of oceans
A past infatuated with factoring humans into fractions
This latch key made it, on sojourn to emotion,
so when you flick your pen,
mean more than mere motion.
